One Pan Kielbasa Broccoli Pasta

By Frida Sofia25 min totalServes 4 servings

I love having Kielbasa in my fridge, because it works in almost anything. It's already cooked, so all you're really doing is browning it and gets so good once it's browned up in a hot pan! Works great with pasta or rice.

Why You'll Love This

  • One pan, one mess
  • Ready in about 20 minutes!
  • Kid friendly

Ingredients

Kielbasa

I used turkey. It's already fully cooked so you're really just browning it for flavor, and it brings enough salt/seasoning that you barely need to add more. Swap for andouille if you want more kick, or chicken sausage if you want something lighter.

Broccoli

I added them at the end so it steams instead of turning to mush. Frozen florets work great here too, just thaw them a bit first so they don't dump extra water into the pan.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Instructions

  1. 1

Add the kielbasa to a large pan or Dutch oven with the olive oil. Cook over medium heat until browned.

  2. 2

Once browned, add the pasta and 3 cups of chicken broth. Stir to combine, cover with a lid, and let cook for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Remove the lid and add the broccoli florets. If the mixture looks like most of the liquid has been absorbed, stir in the extra cup of broth, but skip it if the dish still is very saucy. Stir to combine and cook for another 2 minutes until pasta is al dente.

  4. 4

Stir in the parmesan cheese, combine well, and serve.
