French Onion Pasta

I’ve been eyeing this French onion soup at Trader Joe’s for a while with hopes of adding it to pasta. I finally tried and it did NOT disappoint 🤩✨ this recipe is definitely a keeper. Serve as is or with chicken or steak!

Instructions

  1. 1

Add both containers or French onion soup to the bottom of a Dutch oven or large pot.

  2. 2

Nestle the pappardelle nests around the soup cubes.

  3. 3

Pour chicken broth around the nests.

  4. 4

Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Stir once or twice to make sure pasta doesn’t stick to the pot.

  5. 5

Scatter fresh parsley, roughly chopped over the top and drizzle with 1 tbsp chili oil, for serving.
